This notice explains how our website at alomarjewelry.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
In short: We use a few essential cookies to make the site work (keeping your bag and securing your receipts), and when you pay by card from outside Jordan our payment provider Stripe sets fraud-prevention cookies on the payment page. Where enabled, we also use analytics and advertising cookies from Meta and Google to measure and promote our store. Our mobile apps use no cookies, but they include Google Analytics for Firebase, and on iOS they ask your permission before using your advertising identifier (Section 4).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as pixels and SDKs) work in comparable ways. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used.
2. Essential cookies (always on)
These are necessary for the site to function and cannot be switched off, and they are not used for advertising. Our own essential cookies are stored securely (HTTP-only). The Stripe cookies are set by Stripe's payment software, which reads them to screen payments for fraud; Stripe states that it does not use them for advertising.

If you are taken to Stripe's own payment page instead of ours, Stripe's cookies there are governed by Stripe's Cookies Policy and Stripe's Privacy Policy.
3. Analytics and advertising cookies (optional, website only)
Where enabled, our website uses the following to understand how the site is used and to measure and deliver advertising:

Server-side measurement (Meta Conversions API). When you make a purchase, our server may send Meta a record of the event. Your email address and phone number are irreversibly hashed (SHA-256) before they are sent; your IP address and browser user-agent are also sent. We do not send your name.
We do not sell your personal data. Visiting the social-media profiles linked in our footer (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) is governed by each platform's own policies.
4. Our mobile apps
Our iOS and Android apps do not use cookies, but they do include Google Analytics for Firebase, which records how the app is used — screens viewed, pieces browsed, searches you make in the app, items added to the bag, and completed orders — so we can improve the app and measure our advertising. The apps contain no crash-tracking software, and there is no Meta Pixel and no Google Ads tag in them.
On iOS, the app asks for your permission before using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), through Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency prompt, shown shortly after you first open the app. If you decline, the identifier is not used and nothing else in the app changes. On Android, the equivalent identifier can be reset or blocked in your device's privacy settings at any time.
When you pay by card from Jordan in our app, our server may also report the purchase to Meta through the Meta Conversions API. The report includes the order value, the reference numbers of the pieces, and your email address and phone number hashed (SHA-256). On iOS this happens only if you allowed tracking at the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android it currently happens for every such order.
The apps also include the software of our card payment providers, used to take and secure card payments: HyperPay's, including its fraud-prevention component, for payments from Jordan, and — from app version 1.4 — Stripe's, for payments from outside Jordan, which collects information about your device to help prevent fraud and to measure and improve how its payment form works. 5. Managing your choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
- Opt-outs. You can use the ad and privacy settings that Meta and Google provide, and your device/browser ad controls, to limit advertising cookies.
- Consent. If you are in a region that requires opt-in consent for analytics and advertising cookies (for example the EEA/UK, and under Jordan’s Personal Data Protection Law where applicable), please use the browser and ad-settings controls above to manage them.
