Terms of Service

Alomar Jewellry — مجوهرات العمر

Last updated: 20 June 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at alomarjewelry.com, the Alomar mobile application for iOS and Android (the "App"), and the products, content, and services we offer through them (together, the "Services"). They also apply to purchases you make from us online.

In these Terms, "Alomar," "we," "us," and "our" mean the business that operates under the trade name Alomar Jewellry (مجوهرات العمر); "you" means the person using the Services or placing an order.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

The Services are operated by:

Alomar Jewellry (trade name) — مجوهرات العمر Operating across Jordan General enquiries: info@alomarjewelry.com · WhatsApp +962 78 807 0777 · +962 2 724 5012 Legal & privacy: contact@alomarjewelry.com

We operate primarily in Jordan and our prices are in Jordanian Dinar (JOD).

2. About these Terms

  • These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Alomar.
  • They work together with our Privacy Policy, our Shipping and Returns & Buy-Back pages, our Cookie & Tracking Notice, and any other terms shown to you at the point of purchase. Where a page describes a specific service in more detail, that page applies in addition to these Terms.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time (Section 19).
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

3. Eligibility

The Services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, place an order, or use the App. By using the Services you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract.

4. Your account

You can browse without an account, but some features (orders, saved addresses, wishlist, rate alerts, order history) need one.

  • Passwordless sign-in. You sign in with a one-time code sent by WhatsApp or email, or with your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number, email, and linked accounts secure.
  • Accurate information. Please give accurate, current contact and delivery details, and keep them up to date. We rely on them to fulfil your orders.
  • Your responsibility. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account. Tell us promptly at contact@alomarjewelry.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
  • Closing your account. You may ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time by contacting contact@alomarjewelry.com. A self-service deletion option is being added; until then we handle these requests manually. Some records may be retained where the law requires (see the Privacy Policy).
  • Suspension. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe has been used for fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Terms (Section 18).

5. Products, descriptions, and availability

  • We sell gold jewellery (including 24K, 21K, 18K, and 14K), 925 sterling silver pieces, and gold bullion / bars ("sabaek"). We also offer made-to-order ("by commission") pieces and engraving.
  • We describe and photograph our pieces as accurately as we can. Because jewellery is photographed under studio lighting and viewed on different screens, colours, finish, scale, and the exact appearance of a piece may vary from what you see. Weights, dimensions, and stone details are approximate unless stated otherwise.
  • Some pieces (for example certain silver items) are shown as "price on request" rather than with a price; these are quoted individually.
  • All pieces are subject to availability. A piece appearing in the Services is an invitation to order, not an offer; we accept your order as described in Section 7.
  • Each piece is hallmarked and, where provided, supplied with a certificate of authenticity describing its metal, karat, weight, and any stones.

6. Prices and live gold rates

This section is important — please read it.

  • All prices are in Jordanian Dinar (JOD).
  • Gold pieces are priced live. The price of a gold piece is calculated from the current per-gram gold rate for its karat on the day, plus a making (workmanship) charge and the value of any stones. The gold rate follows the market and changes throughout the day.
  • Silver is priced at a flat price per piece (not by live weight × rate).
  • Prices are not held or locked. Because the gold rate moves, the price shown when you add a piece to your bag is not guaranteed and may change by the time you reach checkout. The price you pay is the price calculated at the moment your order is placed, at that day's rate. By placing an order you accept the price shown to you at that moment.
  • Tax. Gold and jewellery sold in Jordan are not subject to sales tax (VAT); our prices therefore do not include, and are not subject to, VAT.
  • Gold-rate information is not financial advice. The daily gold rate and any rate screen, history, or alert we show are provided for general information and to price our pieces. They are not investment, trading, or financial advice, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Do not rely on them for investment decisions.
  • We try to ensure prices are correct, but errors can occur. If we discover an obvious pricing error in an order, we will tell you and give you the choice to confirm at the correct price or cancel (Section 7).

7. Orders and acceptance

  • When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the selected pieces at the price calculated at that moment. Each online order is given a reference (for example, WEB-YYYYMMDD-####).
  • A confirmation message acknowledges that we have received your order. A contract is formed only when we accept your order — for card and bank-transfer orders, when we confirm payment and acceptance; for WhatsApp-assisted orders, when we confirm the order with you.
  • We may decline or cancel an order (in whole or in part), before or after a confirmation message, including where: a piece is unavailable or mispriced; payment is not completed or is reversed; our checks suggest the order may be fraudulent or unauthorised; the order would breach these Terms or the law; or delivery is to a destination we do not serve (Section 8). If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund the amount you paid for the cancelled items.
  • Fraud prevention. To protect customers and our business, we may screen orders, including by recording the IP address associated with an order and reviewing it together with the phone number provided.

8. Payment

We offer the following ways to pay; the options available to you are shown at checkout:

  • Bank transfer. We provide our bank details and you transfer the order total, then upload your payment receipt. We confirm the order once we have verified the transfer. Your items are reserved pending confirmation.
  • WhatsApp-assisted ordering. We continue the order with you on WhatsApp to finalise payment and delivery. Your items are reserved while we do so.
  • Card payment (where enabled). Card payments are handled by our payment provider through its own secure form, with 3-D Secure authentication. Alomar never receives or stores your full card number, expiry, or security code. Our provider may use device and fraud-prevention signals (such as a device identifier and approximate location) to authenticate the payment.
  • Cash on delivery (where offered).

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you choose. Title to a piece passes to you only once we have received payment in full (except for cash on delivery, on payment at delivery). Where card payment is offered, the amount charged is the order total calculated by our system at the time the order is placed (Section 6).

9. Shipping and delivery

  • We offer insured delivery across Jordan — complimentary on orders of JOD 250 or more, with a flat JOD 5 delivery fee on orders below that. Delivery is typically within 2 business days; delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • International shipping may be available on request; please contact us for a quote on lead time and any duties or taxes, which are your responsibility.
  • Gold bullion / bars can only be delivered within Jordan and paid for using local payment methods; we do not ship bullion internationally.
  • Please make sure your delivery address and contact details are correct. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect details or absence at delivery.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery to the address you provide (or to a person at that address).

10. Returns, buy-back, and after-sales

Please choose carefully. As is standard in the gold trade, our policy is as follows.

  • All sales are final. We do not offer change-of-mind returns or refunds of the price paid. Made-to-order, custom, and engraved or personalised pieces cannot be cancelled once work has begun and are final.
  • Buy-back of gold. If you later wish to part with a gold piece purchased from us and we accept it back, we value it as a buy-back: the gold content is valued at the prevailing market (buy) rate on the day you return it, and the making (workmanship) charge ("الأجرة") paid at purchase is not refundable and is deducted. Any payout is subject to our inspection of the piece (weight, karat, and condition). Buy-back applies to authentic Alomar pieces accompanied by proof of purchase and in re-saleable condition; the value of any stones is assessed separately at inspection.
  • Your legal rights are protected. Nothing in this section limits the rights you have under Jordan's Consumer Protection Law No. 7 of 2017 and other applicable laws. If a piece is defective, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy — repair, replacement, or refund — as the law provides. These rights cannot be waived.
  • Defective or incorrect items. If something is wrong with your order, contact us at info@alomarjewelry.com or on WhatsApp and we will arrange inspection and the appropriate remedy.
  • Lifetime servicing. We provide complimentary cleaning, polishing, re-sizing, and minor repair on our pieces, for life. Bring or post the piece to our store.
  • Warranty. We warrant our pieces against manufacturing defects. This does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, loss, or misuse.

11. Virtual try-on

The App lets you try jewellery on virtually using your device camera.

  • It runs on your device. Face and hand positions are detected locally on your phone using on-device technology. Your live camera image and position data are processed in your device's memory only and are not uploaded to Alomar or to anyone else. We do not create or store a facial or hand "template," and the try-on does not identify you. (See Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.)
  • Your photos are yours. A try-on photo is saved to your device or shared only when you choose. We do not keep a copy.
  • Permissions. Try-on needs camera permission, and (on iOS) add-to-photos permission if you save a photo. You can decline or revoke these in your device settings; the rest of the App keeps working.
  • For visualisation only. Virtual try-on is an aid to help you picture a piece. It is approximate and does not guarantee exact size, fit, proportion, colour, or appearance. You are responsible for the people and surroundings shown in your camera.
  • Use the App's camera and try-on only for trying on our pieces, and only with the consent of anyone who appears in the image.

12. Intellectual property

  • The Services and their content — including the Alomar name and the العمر mark, logos, designs, text, photographs, graphics, and software — are owned by Alomar or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
  • We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services to browse and shop for your own use.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, data-mine, frame, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services or our images without our prior written permission. Our product images carry an ownership watermark; removing or obscuring it is not permitted.
  • If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use them to improve the Services, without obligation to you.

13. Acceptable use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • use them for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or to provide false information;
  • interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, our systems, or another user's account;
  • copy, scrape, or harvest data or content from the Services by automated means;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except to the extent the law permits;
  • circumvent or misuse security or access controls, including the verification that protects invoice and receipt pages; or
  • use the Services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair them or harm other users.

14. Content you provide

  • When you upload a payment receipt, save an address, or otherwise submit content, you confirm you have the right to provide it, and you grant us permission to use it to operate the Services and fulfil and account for your orders.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone's rights, or contains more sensitive personal data than necessary.

15. Third-party services and the app stores

  • The Services rely on third parties — for example our payment provider, WhatsApp, and Apple/Google sign-in. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
  • The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable app-store terms. The app stores are not responsible for the App or these Terms.
  • The Services may link to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

16. Disclaimers

  • The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that descriptions, images, or rate information are completely accurate or current.
  • Gold-rate information is general information, not financial advice (Section 6).
  • Virtual try-on is for visualisation only (Section 11).
  • Nothing in this section affects your non-waivable rights as a consumer under Jordanian law (Section 10).

17. Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alomar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and your non-waivable rights under Jordan's Consumer Protection Law No. 7 of 2017.

18. Suspension and termination

  • We may suspend, restrict, or end your access to the Services (or cancel an order) if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Services, our customers, or our staff (including suspected fraud).
  • You may stop using the Services at any time and may ask us to close your account (Section 4).
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual property, Content you provide, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, and Governing law — continue to apply.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
  • The competent courts of Jordan have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings, or to be sued, in another forum the law provides.
  • We would always prefer to resolve any concern with you directly first — please contact us at contact@alomarjewelry.com. As a consumer, you may also raise a complaint with Jordan's Consumer Protection Directorate (Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply), and, for personal-data matters, with the Personal Data Protection Directorate (Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship).

21. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie & Tracking Notice, and the Shipping and Returns & Buy-Back pages, are the entire agreement between you and Alomar regarding the Services.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours in connection with a reorganisation, merger, or sale of our business, without reducing your rights.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
  • Language. These Terms are published in English and Arabic. The English version is the master; if there is any conflict, the English version prevails, unless the law applicable to you requires the Arabic version to govern (for Jordanian consumers, the Arabic text may govern).
